- Over $50,000 has been raised towards the planning & organization of the project.
- Initial grant applications have been submitted and preparation, and scheduling of future grants has begun.
- Architectural plans have been developed.
- 3-phase detailed plan and budget completed.
- Non-profit corporation formally created, with representation from a cross section of the community, with necessary legal and financial controls in place.
- Steps taken to make the house structurally sound for Phase 1 work to begin.
- Land cleanup has begun.
- FSP Rotary Club has allocated a percentage of its Annual Community raffle proceeds to be donated to the Frazee House Project in 2005.
- A website has been created, http://www.frazeehouse.org.
- Frazee buttons donated by Dick Dobyns, with image of Aunt Betty, are available for sale.
- Frazee House tee shirts are available for purchase.
- A video for educational and fund raising purposes has been completed.
- A sign announcing the project has been placed on the property.
- FSP Rotary members participated in the Memorial Day Parade on a Frazee Float to initiate community awareness of the project.
- The Board of Education, through participation of Dr. Heisey and the Brad Siegel, the Social Studies curriculum coordinator for the district, have pledged active involvement in the effort.
- Vo-Tech students are building proto-type models of the house to be used in our marketing awareness and fundraising efforts.
- An official portrait of Aunt Betty was been completed and plans to sell limited prints will be a future fundraiser.
- Proceeds from the sale of Frank Thorne's book, An Illustrated History of Union County, will be donated to the project.
- Rotary Club members and Frazee House Committee members will be participating in both Fanny Wood Day and Scotch Plains day.
- A townwide fundraiser mailing to both Fanwood and Scotch Plains residents and businesses has been completed in 2006, 2007 raising $12,000.
- Gala Casino Night in the spring of 2006 has was held raising $2000 and another is planned for spring 2008.
- Basement cleaned out: mud removal, old oil tank removed.
- Bathrooms demolished and removed.
- Electric brought to the house.
- Grants totalling $25,000 have been approved through August 2007.
